Meet our youngest Hearing Aid Recycling recipient in Malawi – what a cutie!

Here’s Abel Banda! Abel was born with a severe to profound hearing loss. In Malawi, unlike in there’s no newborn screening tests (we’re very lucky!). Therefore Abel’s deafness wasn’t initially diagnosed. However, now thanks to brilliant audiologist Fletcher Chisalipo and donated hearing aids from Hearing Aid Recycling, Abel has been fitted with hearing aids. A deaf child without hearing aids also never learns to speak. Condemned to a deaf and mute life. We’re really hoping these hearing aids will help Abel develop his language skills.
